ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of lavender essential oil on anxiety in patients who are about to undergo ultrasound-guided procedures for issues related to muscles and joints. The researchers want to see if using lavender oil can help reduce feelings of anxiety before these procedures, which can include injections or aspirations (removing fluid) from joints and tendons.
To participate, you need to be an adult between 18 and 85 years old and be scheduled for one of these ultrasound-guided procedures. However, you cannot be currently taking certain anxiety medications, have a strong dislike or allergy to lavender, suffer from asthma or migraines, or have other health issues that might make it unsafe for you to join the study. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive lavender oil before your procedure and be part of the effort to understand if it makes a difference in managing anxiety.
