ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the best way to close a hernia during laparoscopic surgery, which is a minimally invasive procedure that uses small incisions. Researchers want to find out how different methods of closing the hernia affect recovery time, pain levels, and the chance of complications like infections or hernia recurrence. By comparing these outcomes, the study aims to identify the most effective technique and will also create a database to help with future research on abdominal wall hernias.
To participate in this trial, candidates must have been diagnosed with an abdominal wall hernia and be in generally good health, meaning they can safely undergo general anesthesia and laparoscopic surgery. The trial is open to patients of all ages and genders who agree to take part after being informed about the study. Those with serious medical conditions, mental illness, or incomplete medical information will not be eligible. Participants can expect to be closely monitored throughout the study, and their contributions will help improve treatment options for future patients with hernias.
