ClinConnect Summary

The e-HERO clinical trial is focused on improving testing and treatment for HIV and syphilis among young men in rural Oklahoma, particularly those who identify as gay, bisexual, or are American Indian. The goal is to encourage more people to get tested, use condoms, and consider taking PrEP, a medication that helps prevent HIV. The study will work closely with community members to make sure the approach is effective and tailored to the needs of the participants.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 17 and 29 years old, live in a rural area of Oklahoma, and self-identify as either American Indian or a man who has sex with men. Those interested will need to provide consent and be available for the duration of the study. Participants will engage in activities designed to promote health and well-being while also contributing to important research that aims to end the HIV epidemic in their communities.
