ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating how the human microbiome, which is the collection of bacteria and other microorganisms living in our bodies, and vitamin D may influence the development of allergic diseases in young children. The study focuses on babies under one year old to understand how these factors might affect their health and allergies as they grow.

To participate in this trial, babies must be born at term (which means they were in the womb for the full nine months) at China Medical University Hospital. Unfortunately, babies who were born prematurely, have certain health issues, or need immediate medical attention after birth cannot take part in this study. Families who join can expect to provide information and samples to help researchers learn more about how these factors contribute to allergies in children. This research could help improve understanding and prevention of allergic diseases in the future.
