ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how certain factors before surgery can affect the outcome of a specific eye procedure called ICL implantation, which is used to correct vision problems like high myopia (nearsightedness) and myopic astigmatism. Researchers want to understand how things like age, gender, and measurements of the eye relate to the success of the surgery in achieving the right positioning of the ICL, which is important for clear vision after the procedure.

To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 21 and 45 years old, have high myopia or myopic astigmatism, and have stable vision for the past year. They should also have a specific eye measurement called anterior chamber depth, and they should not be suitable candidates for another type of eye surgery called LASIK. Those who join the study will undergo some pre-surgery eye tests and then have the ICL surgery. After the procedure, they will return for follow-up visits to check how well the surgery worked and how their vision has improved. It's important to note that individuals with certain eye conditions or systemic diseases may not be eligible to participate.
