ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help doctors identify and prevent suicidal behaviors in patients who come to the emergency department for mental health concerns. The researchers want to see if giving doctors information about a patient's risk of suicide will lead to fewer suicide attempts over the next six months. They believe that when doctors have this information, they can make better decisions about how to care for their patients.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have come to the emergency psychiatry service for help. However, people who are unable to understand the study or give consent, such as those with severe mental confusion or who are extremely agitated, will not be included. If you take part in this trial, you will be helping researchers understand how to improve care for people at risk of suicide, and you may receive support based on the findings of the study.
