ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called radiosurgery for people suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes severe facial pain. The goal is to see how effective this treatment is for patients whose pain hasn’t improved with other medications. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with classical trigeminal neuralgia and are experiencing high levels of pain that haven’t responded to the strongest medications they’ve tried.

To join the study, you should not have other conditions that can cause similar pain, like certain brain tumors or multiple sclerosis, and you should not have had a radiosurgery treatment before. If you participate, you can expect to receive radiosurgery, which is a non-invasive procedure that uses focused radiation to target the pain pathways in your face. Researchers will monitor your progress to understand how well this treatment works for easing your pain.
