ClinConnect Summary
The Danish Diabetes Birth Registry 2 (DDBR2) is a research study focused on understanding pregnancies in women who have diabetes before becoming pregnant. Women with diabetes, including those with Type 1, Type 2, or other forms of diabetes, face unique challenges during pregnancy, and this study aims to gather important information about both the mothers and their children. By creating a large registry of these pregnancies, researchers hope to track the health outcomes for mothers, partners, and children over time, which will help answer many questions about managing diabetes during pregnancy.
To participate in this study, women must be at least 18 years old and have pre-existing diabetes, as well as their partners and children. Participants will have the opportunity to share their health information and provide biological samples for future research. It's important to note that participants should be able to understand the study information in either Danish or English. This research is currently recruiting participants, and being part of it could contribute to better understanding and care for future pregnancies affected by diabetes.
