ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of exercise, including video games, can help young adults with pes planus, which is a condition where the arches of the feet are flat. The researchers want to see if structured exercises, Wii-based games that promote movement (called exergames), or serious balance games can improve foot strength, balance, and flexibility in individuals aged 18 to 25.
To be eligible, participants need to be diagnosed with flexible pes planus and have a specific foot measurement called a navicular drop. They should not have used insoles or received similar exercise therapy before. If selected, participants will attend 18 sessions over six weeks, guided by a physiotherapist, where they will engage in either traditional exercises or interactive video games designed to enhance their balance and strength. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of these different approaches in helping participants improve their foot function.
