ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how being exposed to certain harmful substances, known as Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), in the workplace can affect health. Specifically, the researchers want to learn about the early biological changes that happen in the body due to this exposure, such as problems with proteins and metabolism, as well as potential damage to DNA. This study aims to improve the way we monitor health effects from these exposures, moving beyond just measuring how much of these substances people have been exposed to.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been exposed to PAHs at work for more than three months. You'll also need to sign a consent form to join. However, if you are obese, have certain health conditions like cancer or diabetes, or are taking medications for those conditions, you won’t be eligible to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to help researchers gather important information that could lead to better health monitoring for people exposed to these harmful substances in their jobs.
