ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how oxygen and breathing support are used for patients during a procedure called Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy (FOB), which is a way for doctors to look inside the lungs. The researchers want to understand how different breathing support methods work for patients with various lung conditions, like pneumonia or lung cancer, and how these methods may differ in different hospitals. By observing many patients, they aim to gather information about which approaches might be safer or more effective.
Anyone over the age of 18 who needs a Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy can join the study, regardless of whether they are visiting the hospital as an outpatient or are already admitted. Participants can expect that their doctors will take notes on their health before, during, and after the procedure, including any breathing support used and how well they recover. There are no specific exclusions, meaning almost anyone needing this procedure can participate. This study is important because it could help improve care for patients undergoing such procedures in the future.
