ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different surgical methods for treating serious fractures in the sacrum, pelvis, or hip area, known as unstable sacral/pelvic or acetabular fractures. These kinds of injuries often happen due to high-energy events, like car accidents. The study will compare traditional surgery, which involves making a large incision, to a less invasive technique that uses smaller cuts. The goal is to see which approach is more effective and safer for patients.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have had a traumatic fracture in the pelvic or hip area that fits specific medical classifications. It's important that you are willing to have surgery, and your follow-up care will be monitored for at least four years after the procedure. If you're interested in learning more about this study or think you might qualify, please talk to your healthcare provider. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders.
