ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to quickly examine tumor tissue during surgery. The goal is to develop a special imaging method that allows doctors to see the edges of tumors right away, without the lengthy processes usually required in traditional testing. This could help ensure that all of the tumor is removed during surgery, which is important for successful treatment. The trial will involve 250 patients who are having surgery to remove tumors from the brain, breast, or skin. Participants will provide a small piece of their tumor tissue for this study.
To join the trial, patients must be over 20 years old and diagnosed with a tumor in the skin, brain, or breast. However, those who have difficulty communicating or whose tumors are very small (under 1 centimeter) cannot participate. If you decide to take part, you can expect to contribute a small sample of your tumor tissue, which researchers will use to compare with normal tissue to see how effective the new imaging method is. The trial is currently looking for participants, and this research could lead to improvements in how surgeons detect and treat tumors in the future.
