ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of wearable device that can measure alcohol levels through the skin, helping to provide more accurate readings of how much alcohol is in a person's bloodstream. Over the course of 14 days, participants will wear these biosensors while also using breathalyzers to check their alcohol levels in real-life situations. Additionally, participants will attend three laboratory sessions where they will drink controlled amounts of alcohol to help researchers assess the sensors' accuracy.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 21 years old and drink alcohol at least twice a week. However, people with certain medical or psychological conditions, those who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, and individuals seeking treatment for alcohol-related issues cannot participate. This study is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it aims to gather valuable data that could improve how we monitor alcohol consumption in the future.
