ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a type of therapy called Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people with physical disabilities who are struggling with thoughts of suicide. The goal is to see if this therapy can reduce feelings of wanting to harm themselves or actually attempting to do so. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 and older who have a disability affecting their vision, hearing, or mobility and have experienced suicidal thoughts in the past week or a suicide attempt in the past month.
Participants in this trial will receive therapy sessions online, so having a reliable internet connection and a webcam is important. It's also necessary to be able to understand and agree to participate in the study. This research aims to find out if this therapy can make a difference for those facing these challenges, and everyone involved will be contributing to a better understanding of mental health support for people with physical disabilities.
