ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a simple 6-minute walking program for patients who are terminally ill, particularly those with advanced cancer. The goal is to see if this short exercise can help improve their well-being and quality of life while they receive regular medical care. To participate, individuals must be at least 20 years old, have advanced cancer (stages III or IV), and have a life expectancy of 12 months or less. Importantly, participants should be able to communicate normally.
If someone decides to join the study, they will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will continue receiving standard medical care, while the other group will also engage in the walking program, which includes a video demonstration and support from a home care worker. Throughout the trial, participants will be monitored for their walking ability and overall health. This program aims to provide valuable information on how even a small amount of exercise can help improve the lives of those with serious illnesses.
