ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring new ways to help people with Parkinson's disease improve their movement and thinking skills. The study focuses on two techniques: motor imagery, which involves imagining movement, and action observation, which is watching others perform movements. Researchers want to see how these techniques can affect the use of the upper limbs and cognitive abilities in individuals with Parkinson's, a condition that can cause difficulties with movement and memory.

To participate in this trial, individuals need to be between 20 and 59 years old, diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at stages 1 to 3 (which means mild to moderate symptoms), and stable on their medication. They should also be able to imagine moving their arms and have some challenges with movement in their dominant arm. Participants will take part in 10 sessions over two weeks, with each session lasting 40 minutes, where they'll engage in various exercises and activities related to the techniques being studied. The research will assess their progress before, immediately after, and four weeks after the sessions to see if there are any improvements in movement and cognitive skills.
