ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the recovery process for people diagnosed with esophageal or gastric cancer. The goal is to create a rehabilitation program that can help enhance quality of life and reduce symptoms related to cancer. Researchers want to find out how effective this program is for patients who are preparing for surgery aimed at treating their cancer.
To be part of the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosis of esophageal or gastric cancer, and be planning to have surgery at Skåne University Hospital in Southern Sweden. Unfortunately, those who cannot communicate in Swedish or have significant cognitive impairments will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive support and resources designed to assist with your recovery journey after surgery.
