ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new mobile app called Maya, designed to help improve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The trial will compare a standard version of the app with a personalized version that introduces new skills over a shorter time frame. Participants, aged 18 to 25, who have been diagnosed with one of these conditions, will use the app for at least 20 minutes, two days a week for six weeks. They'll also have weekly check-ins with a research team member and may choose to undergo brain scans at the beginning and end of the study.
To participate, individuals must have a primary diagnosis of anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder and own an Apple iPhone. However, those with certain conditions, such as a history of serious neurological issues or currently experiencing a manic episode, cannot join. The goal of this trial is to see if the personalized app is just as effective as the standard version while being easier to use. This could lead to better treatment options for young people dealing with these mental health challenges.
