ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different amounts of a local anesthetic can help manage pain after a major surgery called thoracotomy, which is known to be very painful. The researchers want to compare three different volumes of the anesthetic (20 ml, 25 ml, and 30 ml) to see which one provides the best pain relief for patients. Using the right amount of pain relief is important because it can help prevent complications after surgery and reduce the risk of developing long-term pain.
To participate in this study, patients need to be between 18 and 80 years old and scheduled for elective thoracotomy surgery. They should also be in good health as classified by their doctor. Patients who are interested and meet these criteria can expect to receive one of the three doses of the anesthetic during their surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants, and it's a great opportunity for those who are undergoing this type of surgery to help advance pain management techniques.
