ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Enhancing Wellness Through Affirming Services and Education," is looking to understand how a special program can help improve the mental health, substance use, and overall wellness of people who are living with HIV and/or identify as LGBTQ+. The study will find out if participants see improvements in their health and support after taking part in a holistic wellness program tailored to their specific needs, especially for older adults (40+) and younger adults (18-40).
To join this study, you need to be 18 or older, have an HIV diagnosis or identify as LGBTQ+, and have used alcohol or drugs in the last 90 days. If you participate, you’ll receive six months of personalized support that may include individual and group counseling, case management, and peer support. You'll also fill out surveys at the start and after six months to track any changes in your health. The trial is currently recruiting participants in Mecklenburg County and nearby areas, and it aims to ensure that everyone involved gets the support they need to enhance their well-being.
