ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the body’s nervous system might affect patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAA), which are rare conditions where a part of the aorta in the chest becomes enlarged. The researchers want to understand certain features of the nervous system that could help identify which patients are at higher risk for complications related to their condition. This study is observational, meaning that researchers will observe and collect data without changing any treatments.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old and have either syndromic (related to a syndrome) or non-syndromic TAA. Participants will be asked to lie down for 10 minutes and then stand up for another 10 minutes while their blood pressure and breathing are monitored in a non-invasive way. It's important to note that people with certain health issues, such as serious kidney or liver diseases, will not be eligible to take part in this study. If you decide to participate, you will be contributing valuable information that could help doctors better predict risks for patients with TAA in the future.
