ClinConnect Summary
The InfluenCEF Study is researching how headaches relate to influenza (the flu) infections. Specifically, the study aims to understand how common headaches are during the flu, what factors might increase the risk of having a headache, and how long these headaches can last. Researchers will look at past flu data from 2010 to 2022 and will also follow new cases of flu during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 flu seasons to gather more information.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed flu infection, verified by specific tests. Those who have severe medical issues that prevent them from being interviewed, have a history of cognitive problems, or cannot communicate effectively in Spanish will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to share your experiences regarding headaches during your flu illness, which will help improve understanding and treatment of this common symptom.
