ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Connecting Breath and Mind for CYP With Long COVID," is exploring new ways to help young people aged 12 to 18 who are experiencing long-term effects from COVID-19, such as anxiety and breathlessness. The study will be conducted in two phases: first, a small group of young people will help design a supportive program that focuses on breathing techniques and emotional well-being. Then, a larger group of 40 participants will be involved in a pilot study where they will receive either standard care or standard care plus the new program.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 12 and 18 years old and referred to a specialized long COVID team. They should also have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through a positive test. Participants can expect to receive information and support through online videos, group sessions, and possibly one-on-one consultations with healthcare professionals. This trial aims to give young people the tools they need to manage their symptoms and connect with others going through similar experiences.
