ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special family support program designed to help parents and children cope with the emotional challenges of living in areas affected by conflict, specifically in Palestine. The program, called Promoting Positive Family Futures (PPFF), aims to improve family relationships and emotional well-being for both parents and teenagers aged 13 to 16. The researchers believe that by strengthening families, they can help reduce the negative effects of violence and promote better adjustment for adolescents.
To participate in the trial, families need to have an adolescent who is willing to take part and both parents must also agree to be involved. Families living in the West Bank or Gaza who meet these criteria can be part of the study. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the family support program or to receive standard treatment. Throughout the study, families will take part in assessments at different points over a year to see how well the program works. This trial is important because it aims to create effective support for families facing ongoing challenges due to conflict, and the findings could benefit similar communities in other parts of the world.
