ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a new kind of CT scan, which is a type of imaging test that helps doctors look at the heart and blood vessels, specifically for patients being evaluated for aortic stenosis—a condition where the aortic valve doesn't open properly. The trial compares two different scanning speeds to see which one provides clearer images of the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart. This could help doctors make better decisions about how to treat patients with heart issues.

To participate in this study, patients must be undergoing a cardiac CT scan because they have or might have a problem with their aortic valve. However, certain patients are not eligible, including those who have severe kidney problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have serious heart or lung conditions. If someone is eligible and decides to join the study, they will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two scanning speeds. The goal is to find out which option gives doctors the best information about the patient's heart health.
