ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating two different ways to help pregnant individuals who are having trouble sleeping. The study will compare a group workshop on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for insomnia, which is a recommended treatment for sleep issues, to a workshop on sleep hygiene, which focuses on healthy sleep habits. Researchers want to find out which method is more effective in improving sleep during pregnancy. This is important because sleep problems can affect both the parent and the baby.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and currently pregnant, in your first, second, or third trimester (up to 34 weeks). You should also be experiencing sleep difficulties, as indicated by a specific score on a sleep assessment. However, if you have severe mental health issues, certain medical conditions, or are taking sleep medications, you won’t be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you'll attend workshops where you can learn tools and strategies to help improve your sleep. This is a great opportunity to find support during your pregnancy and potentially improve your overall well-being.
