ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the psychological support needs of adults with Marfan syndrome, a rare condition that affects the connective tissue in the body. The study aims to understand what personal factors lead these individuals to seek psychological help and how the physical symptoms of Marfan syndrome impact their mental health, self-esteem, and coping strategies. By gathering this information, researchers hope to improve support for patients living with this condition.
To participate in the study, you must be an adult diagnosed with Marfan syndrome and currently under care at the Cardiovascular Genetic Centre in San Donato. You will need to provide your consent to join the study. If you have cognitive difficulties that might affect your ability to participate, you won't be eligible. If you join, you can expect to share your experiences and feelings about living with Marfan syndrome, which may help improve understanding and support for others in similar situations.
