ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called aortic stiffness in patients who have a genetic disorder that affects their blood vessels, specifically those with ascending aortic aneurysms. The main goal is to understand how stiff the arteries are and how this relates to the shape and function of the aorta, which is the large blood vessel that carries blood from the heart. Researchers want to see if certain measurements can help identify patients who are at higher risk for complications.
To participate in the study, individuals must have a genetic condition known as Aortic Aneurysm and Tortuosity (AAT), and they must give their consent to join. The study is open to all genders, and there are no age limits mentioned. Participants will undergo non-invasive tests that check blood pressure and measure how quickly blood flows through the arteries, which are simple procedures and do not involve any surgeries. However, some individuals, such as those with specific health conditions or who are pregnant, may not be eligible to participate. The trial is currently looking for volunteers to join this important research.
