ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the experiences of patients who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, which is a type of weight loss surgery. The goal is to understand who participates in clinical studies and why some people may not take part or drop out. By gathering this information, the researchers hope to identify any challenges or barriers that patients face and improve the overall experience for future patients. This study will help advance medical knowledge and treatments related to gastric bypass.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with obesity or a metabolic disorder that requires gastric bypass surgery. They must also be able to provide informed consent, meaning they understand the study and agree to take part. However, people who are not eligible for gastric bypass surgery, have certain serious health conditions, or are pregnant cannot join. Once the study begins, participants will have the chance to share their experiences, which can contribute to better outcomes for others in the future.
