ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how different treatments can help manage pain and improve function for patients who have undergone limb amputation. Researchers will measure pain levels at various times after surgery, using a simple scale from 0 to 10, where 0 means no pain and 10 means the worst pain imaginable. The goal is to see which therapies work best for reducing pain and improving daily activities over time.
To participate in this study, you should be between 18 and 89 years old and scheduled for a limb amputation at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Unfortunately, if you have trouble understanding or speaking English, have a history of certain pain conditions, or struggle with substance use, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your pain levels checked several times after your surgery, helping researchers learn more about effective pain management strategies for future patients.
