ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effects of including parents in medical rounds at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The researchers want to find out if having parents involved in discussions about their baby's care can improve the quality of family-centered care, strengthen the bond between parents and their infants, reduce parents' anxiety, and increase their satisfaction. They will compare two weeks where parents are included in these rounds with two weeks where they are not, helping to see how this approach affects both families and healthcare staff.
To participate in this study, families need to have an infant in the NICU who is expected to stay there for more than a month. There are no specific exclusions for this trial, so most families with qualifying infants can join. During the trial, participants will take part in the Family Round, where they will be invited to share their thoughts and concerns about their baby's care with the healthcare team, which aims to create a more supportive environment for everyone involved.
