ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to compare two different methods for treating gingival recession, which is when the gum tissue pulls back and exposes more of the tooth. The study will test a standard method using de-epithelized gingival grafts against a modified approach that combines different techniques. The goal is to see which method works better for patients who need to have tissue taken from the roof of their mouth for surgery.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and in good overall health, meaning they don't have any serious health issues or gum diseases. They should also be able to give informed consent, which means they understand what the study involves. Participants can expect to undergo a procedure where tissue is harvested from their palate, and they will be monitored throughout the study to assess the outcomes of the different grafting techniques. It's important to know that certain people, like those with poor oral hygiene or specific health conditions, won't be able to join the trial.
