ClinConnect Summary

The "With Love, Grandma" pilot study is looking at how a digital program can help improve healthy lifestyle habits, like eating well and staying active, for Hispanic women who have survived breast, uterine, or ovarian cancer, as well as their adult daughters. The program will be accessible through computers and smartphones, making it easy to use. Researchers want to see if this approach is practical and if participants find it helpful, as well as to gather early information about its effects.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be Hispanic grandmothers who have completed their cancer treatments and have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher, which means they are considered overweight. Their adult daughters, who must also have a BMI of 25 or higher or engage in limited physical activity, can join as well. Both must live in South Florida, speak English or Spanish, and have access to a mobile device with internet. Participants can expect to engage with the program and share their experiences, helping researchers understand how to better support cancer survivors and their families in leading healthier lives.
