ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to perform coronary angiography, a test that helps doctors see how well the heart's blood vessels are working. The researchers want to find out if using a method that accesses the radial artery from the back of the hand (called the anatomical snuff box approach) is just as effective as the traditional method that uses the wrist. This is important because it could provide a safer or more comfortable option for patients needing this test.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a coronary angiography through the radial route. They also need to have a pulse that can be felt at both their wrist and the back of their hand. However, people with certain conditions, such as those requiring emergency procedures or those with specific heart issues, may not qualify. If you participate, you can expect to have the same heart test but through a different entry point, and the trial is currently looking for volunteers to help with this important research.
