ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of combining exercise with hot water immersion (HWI) as part of recovery after a heart attack, known as myocardial infarction (MI). The research aims to find out if this combination helps reduce inflammation, improve heart function, and enhance overall well-being compared to exercise alone. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will do exercise training twice a week followed by 15 minutes of hot water immersion, while the other group will only do the exercise training.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have had a recent heart attack, either ST-elevation or non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction. They should also be willing to participate in regular exercise-based rehabilitation. However, those who regularly use hot water immersion or sauna, or have ongoing infections, cannot join. If you decide to participate, you’ll be part of an 8-week program designed to help improve your health after a heart attack, and you'll be closely monitored for changes in your health status throughout the study.
