ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different dental treatments for patients with a painful condition called irreversible pulpitis, where the nerve inside the tooth is damaged and causing discomfort. The researchers want to compare a procedure called pulpotomy, which involves removing part of the pulp, to a more traditional treatment called root canal therapy, which removes the entire pulp. The goal is to see which treatment works better in the long run for people experiencing these symptoms.
To participate in the trial, you need to have a mature permanent tooth, like a molar or premolar, that is causing pain and can still be treated. You should be able to feel cold and respond to certain tests that check the tooth's sensitivity. Unfortunately, if you have active gum disease, certain medical issues, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you won't be eligible for this study. If you join, you can expect to receive one of the treatments and contribute to important research that could help improve dental care for others in the future.
