ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how working in call centers might affect the hearing of employees. The main goals are to identify any early signs of hearing issues in these workers and to understand how the noise they are exposed to might impact their hearing. The researchers will focus on people aged 18 to 50 who have been working in call centers for at least two years and have not had any previous hearing problems.
To participate in this study, individuals must be actively working in a call center, typically for 6 to 12 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week. However, those with certain health conditions, like heart or kidney disease, or those who have experienced hearing loss or exposure to loud noises, will not be eligible. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who take part can expect to undergo tests to assess their hearing and brain responses to sound. This research could help in finding ways to protect the hearing of call center workers in the future.
