ClinConnect Summary
The GREEN MOTHER Project is a clinical trial that focuses on understanding how breastfeeding affects both babies and the environment. The first part of the study aims to find out the environmental impact of exclusive breastfeeding compared to artificial feeding, including the resources needed for both methods and the diets of new mothers. The second part of the study will test an educational program designed to help mothers learn about sustainable breastfeeding practices and how to protect the environment, using the information gathered in the first phase.
To participate in this study, mothers must be pregnant, between 24 and 32 weeks along, and at least 16 years old. Women who face language barriers, are younger than 16, or choose not to participate won’t be included. If you join, you can expect to learn more about the benefits of breastfeeding not just for your baby but also for the planet, while contributing to important research that could help future mothers.
