ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of sexual violence on women living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The goal is to better understand the physical and emotional challenges faced by women who have experienced sexual violence, particularly in conflict situations. The study aims to gather important information about issues like pelvic problems and psychological disorders that can arise after such traumatic experiences. This knowledge is essential for developing appropriate care and support for these women.
Women who are over 18 years old and have either experienced conflict-related sexual violence or have not been affected are eligible to participate in this study. However, pregnant women and those under 18 cannot take part. Participants can expect to share their experiences in a safe environment, which will help researchers learn more about their needs and improve care for victims in the future. Your involvement could make a significant difference in understanding and addressing the consequences of sexual violence in the DRC.
