ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a new treatment approach for women who have abdominal diastasis, a condition where the stomach muscles separate, often after pregnancy. This separation can lead to issues like reduced strength, discomfort, and a lower quality of life. The researchers want to see if combining therapeutic exercises with a treatment called radiofrequency diathermy, which uses heat to improve blood flow and reduce inflammation, can help improve muscle function and overall well-being in these women.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 45 who are between 3 to 24 months postpartum and have been diagnosed with abdominal diastasis are eligible. Participants will undergo a specific program that includes both the radiofrequency treatment and exercises designed to strengthen the abdominal muscles. Throughout the study, they can expect to see assessments of their physical condition and how they feel overall. It’s important to note that women with certain medical conditions or those who do not wish to take part in the study will not be eligible.
