ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the risk factors that may lead to early-onset colorectal cancer (eoCRC), which is cancer of the colon or rectum diagnosed in people under 50 years old. Researchers want to understand how lifestyle choices—like diet, physical activity, and smoking—affect the chances of developing this type of cancer. They will compare patients who have been recently diagnosed with eoCRC to healthy volunteers matched by age and sex to see if there are any significant differences in their eating habits and lifestyle factors.
To be eligible for the study, participants with eoCRC must be between 18 and 49 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis. Healthy volunteers should have no history of cancer and must pass a simple stool test. Participants will be asked to fill out a food questionnaire and may undergo additional tests to help validate their responses. This study is currently recruiting and aims to gather important information that could help in understanding and reducing the risk of early-onset colorectal cancer.
