ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how making healthy lifestyle choices around the time of surgery can affect a person's long-term risk of developing heart-related conditions. Researchers will observe patients for one month before their surgery and three months after to see if these choices, like eating well and staying active, can help lower the chances of heart disease in the future.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be between 45 and 75 years old and scheduled for certain types of non-heart surgeries that are considered to have a medium to high risk. They should also have at least two risk factors for heart disease, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. If you join the study, you'll be monitored closely during the month leading up to your surgery and for three months afterward to track your health and lifestyle changes. This research could help improve understanding of how lifestyle affects heart health in patients undergoing surgery.
