ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different treatments for white spot lesions (WSLs) that can develop on teeth after wearing braces. WSLs are early signs of cavities that appear as milky-white spots on the surface of the teeth. The trial is comparing the effectiveness of a treatment called resin infiltration, which helps improve the appearance of these spots, to a combination of a special paste (MI Paste Plus) and a process that prepares the tooth surface. The goal is to see which treatment works better at stopping these spots from worsening and making them look better.

To participate in the trial, you need to be between 12 and 21 years old, have recently finished wearing braces for 12 to 36 months, and have at least one white spot on the front teeth. Good oral hygiene is important, so participants should have mild to moderate plaque buildup. If you or your child have certain dental issues, allergies to milk, or have used other treatments for teeth in the last three months, you may not be eligible. If chosen to participate, you'll receive one of the two treatments and help researchers learn more about the best ways to manage these early signs of cavities.
