ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to measure how much energy people use in their daily activities. Researchers want to see if a special computer program, which uses data from an accelerometer (a device that tracks movement), can accurately estimate the total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) in individuals who have movement and functional limitations. This could help improve understanding of energy use in people with different movement disorders.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to walk on your own without help. You'll also need to be comfortable using a smartphone and a computer since these will be important for the study. If you have certain medical conditions, like uncontrolled high blood pressure or if you rely on a wheelchair or other walking aids, you may not be eligible. Participants will be asked to take part in specific activities to help test the accuracy of the new program, and the research team will provide guidance throughout the process. If you’re interested in learning more or think you might be eligible, feel free to reach out for more information!
