ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new program called the Character Strengths-based STEP Programme (CSSTEP) to see how it can help stroke patients during their rehabilitation. The goal is to improve not just their physical recovery but also their mental well-being, helping them feel more confident and less depressed after a stroke. Researchers believe that focusing on individual strengths—like what patients are good at or what they enjoy—can motivate them to engage more actively in their rehabilitation process.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with a stroke within the last 30 days. They should be able to understand and cooperate with the study, and their vital signs should be stable. However, those with serious cognitive impairments or other severe health issues may not qualify. Participants can expect to take part in various activities that aim to boost their mental and physical health while receiving support tailored to their personal strengths. This innovative approach is an exciting step in helping stroke patients recover better and faster.
