ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special combination of anesthetics, given through an epidural during surgery, can help patients recover better after a specific type of back surgery called endoscopic lumbar discectomy. This surgery is often done to relieve pain caused by a herniated disc in the lower back. The researchers want to see if using this anesthetic cocktail can reduce pain after the surgery, help patients stay in the hospital for a shorter time, and decrease the need for pain medications. They are also interested in how quickly patients can return to their normal activities, including work, and whether there are any complications after the surgery.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have been diagnosed with lower back pain that hasn't improved with other treatments for at least six weeks. You should have a single herniated disc that matches your symptoms and have not had previous back surgery. However, if you have certain allergies or other serious medical conditions, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect close monitoring during your surgery and follow-up to see how well you recover. This study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve care for others with similar conditions in the future.
