ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program designed to help prevent sexual violence among adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 who are still in high school. The program, called the Adolescent Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act (A-EAAA), is based on an earlier successful program for university students that significantly reduced incidents of attempted and completed rape. Researchers want to see if A-EAAA can provide similar protection for younger girls over a 6-month period.
To participate, girls must be between 14 and 18 years old, have not yet graduated from high school, and be comfortable speaking and writing in English. There are no specific exclusions, so if they meet these criteria, they are welcome to join. Participants can expect to attend a scheduled program that will teach them important skills about recognizing and resisting sexual violence. The trial is currently recruiting participants at three locations in Ontario, Canada.
