ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how following a specific care plan called Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) affects recovery after gynecological surgeries, particularly for women with cancers like ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancer. The study aims to understand if not sticking to this care plan in the first two days after surgery is linked to complications during recovery. Researchers are currently looking for women aged 18 to 75 who have been diagnosed with these types of cancers and who will undergo open surgery.
If you or a loved one is eligible and chooses to participate, you can expect to be part of a group that will help researchers learn more about how following this recovery plan can help improve surgical outcomes. Participants will be monitored for any complications that may arise after surgery. It’s important to know that certain factors, like needing intensive care after surgery or having a previous surgery, may disqualify someone from joining the study. This trial is currently recruiting, so there is an opportunity to contribute to important research aimed at improving post-surgery care for women with gynecological cancers.
