ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Mitigating Mental and Social Health Outcomes of COVID-19: A Counseling Approach," aims to understand how a COVID-19 diagnosis affects mental health and other social factors in people's lives. Researchers want to find out what challenges individuals face after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and how a counseling program can help them cope with these challenges. Participants in this study will take part in interviews, attend both individual and group counseling sessions, and receive resources tailored to their specific needs related to social issues, such as economic or healthcare difficulties.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, have received a COVID-19 diagnosis within the past year, and be facing challenges related to that diagnosis. They should not be currently receiving mental health counseling and must live in specific counties in Southern New Mexico. Participants will need internet access, and it’s important that they have not experienced severe mental health issues recently, such as thoughts of self-harm or serious mental health crises. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it offers an opportunity for those affected by COVID-19 to receive support and resources to improve their mental well-being.
